The story of Two Bakers began with a shared passion for perfection.
Co-founders Jessica and Erica, trained at Le Cordon Bleu and mentored by Michelin-starred maestros, fell in love with the alchemy of butter, flour, technique, and most importantly, the caramelised layers of traditional kouign amann. Our beloved creations—from cream cheese-filled bagels to egg tarts with silky custard—reflect years of apprenticeship under master bakers. Now, we channel those timeless techniques into something extraordinary—where French foundations dance with Singaporean inspiration.
But today, what truly sets our bakery apart is how we reinvent classics. For instance, our Lapis isn’t just a traditional layer cake—it’s a whispered love letter to heritage, each golden-brown stratum of pandan, bandung, and red bean unfolding like pages of a treasured story. Even simple, seasonal muffins become unforgettable when baked with seasonal blueberry compote and topped with crumble.
TWO BAKERS' DESSERT INSPIRATION
We pay homage to the culture, heritage and roots of Singapore through our desserts. Singapore's local flavours are diverse, rich and vibrant, reflecting our country's melting pot of cultures and cuisines. This became the inspiration for our dessert menu, where French techniques meet familiar Asian flavours.
Using sophisticated French culinary methods, we invite you to rediscover both global and Singaporean tastes in a whole new light. Our Strawberry Shortcake revitalises the classic with layers of vanilla chiffon, fresh strawberries and strawberry compote—simple yet sublime. The Kopiko, meanwhile, celebrates our coffee culture with white chocolate mousse and 60% dark chocolate ganache layered over coffee-infused chiffon.
Through these creations found in our Omakase Dessert Box, we're preserving Singapore's culinary heritage while pushing boundaries. The black sesame in our Zen cake adds earthy depth to matcha chiffon, while the gula melaka in our Kueh Kosui gets a modern twist with coffee notes.
